2026 Frontline Service Award Winner: Jaime Richardson

Jaime Richardson Award Winner for 2nd Annual Trailblazer Summit

On May 5th, Tourism & Hospitality professionals from across Gilmer County came together for the second-annual Trailblazers Summit, hosted by Pick Ellijay. We celebrated the people, businesses, and stories that make Gilmer County such a memorable destination. Tourism is built through experiences — but those experiences are created by people. Outstanding members of the community were recognized for their dedication and contributions to tourism in Gilmer County with the Gilmer Tourism Awards.

The Frontline Service Award recognizes a frontline employee in Gilmer County’s hospitality industry who consistently goes above and beyond to create a welcoming, exceptional experience for customers while embodying the spirit of hospitality.

These are the people who often become the face of a guest’s visit. They answer the questions, solve the problems, calm the stressful moments, and make people feel like they belong here. The individual we are honoring this year understands that hospitality is not simply about completing a task. It is about making people feel seen, cared for, and welcomed. It is our honor to announce Jaime Richardson, Talona Ridge RV Resort, as this year’s recipient of the Frontline Service Award!

Jaime deeply cares about people — from her own team to every guest who comes through the gates. In busy seasons, when the pace is demanding and the pressure is high, she remains focused on creating a consistent, five-star experience. She is known throughout the community for her professionalism, her dedication, and her reputation for service. That says something powerful. It says that her work does not end when a guest checks out. It follows them home. It becomes part of the memory they carry with them. In one especially meaningful example, after a guest had a negative experience elsewhere in the area, she personally reached out, invited them back, and helped them reconnect with the resort and with our town. Today, they are frequent repeat guests. That is the kind of hospitality that changes a visit into a relationship.

Congratulations to Jaime Richardson, recipient of the 2026 Frontline Service Award!
