This introductory course will explore the principles and elements of design and introduce and develop the creative process. Design elements and relationships will be presented as a tool of communication. We will learn about the rule of thirds and the golden mean as tools to help us locate important areas in the composition. These will help us to discover how the eye moves through a painting and as an artist how we can choose where the viewer should go.
We will work with different materials exploring how to work compositions.
