Unsung Hero Award Nomination

This award honors a back of house employee (housekeeper, restaurant manager, booking agent, property manager, kitchen staff, social media manager, etc.) who displays a level of commitment to customer service that far exceeds their job description. They are someone who believes in setting the stage for an excellent visitor experience and providing seamless experiences for customers and guests. This person is an asset to their organization and the tourism industry and understands the value of unseen service.

Award Criteria

They must be currently employed by a Gilmer County hospitality business and must be a back of house employee (housekeeper, restaurant manager, booking agent, property manager, kitchen staff, social media manager, etc.) Eligible employees must have worked in the hospitality or tourism industry for a minimum of 3 years with at least 1 year at their current place of employment.

Award nominations are now closed. Winners will be announced on Tuesday, May 5th, 2026.
