Merry Mountain Town Festival

Join us in Downtown Ellijay on November 28th, 2025, as we kick off the holidays in Ellijay!

Broad Street will transform into a festive wonderland, lined with cheerful vendors and delicious seasonal treats. Stop by between 12:00 PM and 5:00 PM for a special photo with Santa and free face painting.

At 6:00 PM, gather along the streets of Downtown Ellijay for the Merry Mountain Town Parade featuring glowing floats, plenty of holiday spirit, and the official lighting of the town Christmas tree.

Plus, enjoy the annual Merry Mountain Town decorating competition kick-off! Stop by the Downtown Welcome Center for your map, browse the window and light displays around downtown, and return to vote for your favorite entry.

Schedule of Events

• 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM – Photos with Santa on the Courthouse Steps
• 12:00 PM – 7:00 PM – Merry Mountain Town Festival on Broad Street
• 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM – Merry Mountain Town Decorating Competition Voting at Welcome Center
• 6:00 PM – Parade begins
