Join us in Downtown Ellijay on Thursday, July 4th, for a full day of family-friendly fun!

Join the us on Saturday, July 4th for a full day of family-friendly Independence Day fun in Downtown Ellijay! Festivities begin at 9 AM with the Independence Day Decorating Contest. Stop by the Downtown Welcome Center (DWC) to pick up a map of participating businesses, then browse, shop, and return to the DWC vote for your favorite display. The celebration continues with the Independence Day Festival featuring local vendors, face painting, and fun games for kids. At 7:00 PM, don’t miss the 4th of July Parade as it rolls through downtown with decorated floats, community groups, and plenty of red, white, and blue. Stick around after sunset for fireworks at dusk to end the evening.

Bring your chairs, your friends, and your patriotic spirit—we’ll see you there!

Please note: only pre-registered vehicles and floats are allowed in the parade.
