The Atlanta Mandolin Society was founded in 1994 by a dedicated group of mandolinists to further the interest in and performance of the mandolin family of instruments and mandolin music. The Atlanta Mandolin Society continues this tradition through regional performances by the Atlanta Mandolin Orchestra, the performing unit of the Society, that includes discussions of the musical and cultural heritage of the mandolin. The Atlanta Mandolin Society is a member of the Atlanta Coalition of the Performing Arts.
