Located in Blue Ridge, Georgia, Mercier Orchards is a fourth-generation, family-owned and veteran-operated orchards that has been growing apples since 1943. As one of North Georgia’s favorite destinations, Mercier offers fresh fruit, baked goods, cider, and specialty market items you won’t want to miss. From apple picking and tractor rides to hard cider tastings and their world-famous bakery, there’s something for everyone to enjoy!

Family Owned Since 1943

In 1941, Bill and Adele Mercier moved to Blue Ridge, Georgia, where Bill worked as the county agricultural agent. Two years later, they purchased a 27-acre orchard and the original apple house, built in 1925, from a local pharmacist, along with a tractor to work the mountain soil. Adele sold apples from that apple house while Bill tended to the growing orchard. As the orchard grew, so did their family, raising three children on the farm.

Eighty years and four generations later, Mercier Orchards has expanded from a small apple orchard and roadside stand into one of North Georgia’s most popular agritourism destinations. Today, visitors can enjoy seasonal u-pick events, sample hard ciders and wines made from the orchard’s own fruit, and even sip a refreshing farm wine slushie.
