Annual Meeting and Awards Luncheon
The Annual Meeting and Awards Luncheon, held in January, is an opportunity for the Chamber to show its appreciation to all our members. This is a chance for members to network with other members, the Board of Directors, Ambassadors, and the Chamber staff.  Awards are presented throughout the event to honor and recognize outstanding individuals in our community.  The luncheon is also an opportunity for Chamber members to learn the Chamber's initiatives for the upcoming year.  Awards presented are Chamber Member of the Year, Chamber Business of the Year and Gilmer County Citizen of the Year.
Network Luncheons
Offered only to Chamber members, the 2nd Thursday of each month members gather for lunch to network and build business contacts.  Each luncheon is sponsored by a different business, who gives a presentation.  Door prizes are given away at the end of the luncheon.
Business Connections
Several times annually, we invite all Gilmer County businesses (Chamber members and non-members alike) to a fun evening called Business Connections.  A different host business is selected each time for an informal eventing of networking from 4:30 to 6:30pm.  At 6:00pm you won't want to miss out on the drawing for a $250 cash prize.
Coffee and Conversations
Held quarterly, this is an opportunity for new members to meet the Board of Directors, Ambassadors and Staff to learn more about the Chamber, it's programs and benefits.
Georgia Apple Blossom Festival
As the apple capital of Georgia, we not only celebrate the harvest in the fall but also the apple blossoms in the spring.  The 1st weekend of May in East Ellijay craft vendors set up for an outdoor festival that welcomes locals and visitors.  Sponsorship opportunities are available.
Taste of Ellijay
The Thursday before Memorial Day weekend, local restaurants gather in downtown Ellijay to share everything culinary that Gilmer County has to offer.  As a Chamber member and culinary attributor to Gilmer County, you will receive a discounted price as a vendor.  If you are not a part of the food industry in Gilmer but still want to be involved, there may be volunteer opportunities for you.
Education Celebration
The Chamber Board of Directors and staff want to make sure our educators are welcomed back to a new school year.  For more business exposure, Chamber members provide door prizes to be give away to the educators during their first staff meeting in appreciation of what they do for the youth of Gilmer County.  Sponsorship and volunteer opportunities are also available during the days prior to school starting back.
Apple Arts
During the 2nd and 3rd weekends in October, the same weekends as the Georgia Apple Festival, the Gilmer Chamber hosts Apple Arts in historic downtown Ellijay.  A smaller version of the Apple Festival is set up on the square allowing  you to enjoy a festival along wtih our local shops and restaurants.
Georgia Apple Festival
The 2nd and 3rd weekends in October is an exciting time for Gilmer County.  There are 300 vendors with handmade, hand-crafted items, as well as many on-site demonstartions of how selected types of crafts are made at the Georgia Apple Fesitval.  Each year promises many new crafts as well as favorites from past festivals.  An antique car show is held the 1st Saturday and the Apple Festival Parade is the 2nd Saturday.  As a Chamber member, you are afforded the opportunity to volunteer alongside other members and the Chamber staff to help make this a great event for locals and visitors.
Operation Thank You
Each November, board members, ambassadors and staff spend one day visiting each of our members to thank them for their continued support.  It is a small way of expressing our deep appreciation for their commitment to our community and the Chamber.
Drugs Don't Work
This program can assist your business in establishing a drug free workplace.  Businesses meeting the five step criteria are eligible for a 7.5% Worker's Compensation reduction.
The Ambassador's mission is to serve as the public relations arm of the Gilmer Chamber.  As a representative of the Chamber, Ambassadors attend ribbon cuttings, ground breakings and other network functions.  They welcome new businesses, professionals and prospective business people to our community.
Leadership Gilmer
The Leadership Gilmer program builds and strenthens a better community through training its leaders for the challenges of tomorrow.  The goal of Leadership Gilmer is to develop informed leaders and channel their ideas and experiences toward community resources, issues and concerns to  help direct the future of Gilmer County.  This goal is achieved by programs, informal discussions and participatory experiences.
