Strings and Stitches Yarn Shoppe and The North Georgia Knitting Guild are proud to present the First Annual Georgia Mountain Needle Arts Festival. This event will take place in Ellijay at the Gilmer County Civic Center, April 26-28.

Dancing Goats FolkFest this Sept. 29 and Sept. 30 in Ellijay is a chance to celebrate and preserve the cultural traditions of North Georgia. Self-taught artists new and known will showcase true folk art – the first-born art of Appalachia.

The Georgia Apple Blossom Festival is “all about the local,” according to Karla Haege, event organizer and Tourism Manager for the Gilmer Chamber. This 2019 event, presented by Jasper Coca-Cola Bottling Co. will take place Saturday, May 4 and Sunday, May 5, on Craig Street, which runs parallel to Highway 515 and is in front of the Gilmer Chamber & Welcome Center located at 696 First Ave, East Ellijay.
