Engelheim Vineyards Team Breaks Ground on New Event Center

On July 14th, 2020, the Engelheim Vineyards Team broke ground on their Event Facility expansion already in progress.

Gary Engel, owner and proprietor of Engelheim Vineyards stated that this expansion has been part of their vision for the vineyard for a number of years and is excited to see this plan come to fruition.

The ceremony featured a blessing from the Engel's pastor, Ernie Knocke, along with remarks from Bobby McNeill, incoming Gilmer Chamber Chairman of the Board and fellow local winegrower; Charlie Paris, Gilmer County Commission Chair; and Paige Hutto, Gilmer Chamber President and CEO.

The venue space will host over 200 guests, feature a bridal suite and groom's suite, add a barrel room, and quadruple Engelheim's tasting room space. This expansion marks the first large-scale vineyard venue space in Gilmer County.

Congratulations to Gary, Jan, and everyone on the Engelheim Vineyards team on this exciting expansion!
