2018 Agstravaganza
On Tuesday, November 13th, over 215 guests gathered for the 3rd annual Agstravaganza- a celebration of our farming community. An initiative of the Gilmer Chamber, Agstravaganza honors our county’s agricultural heritage while thanking those that continue to make it a critical economic driver.
Held at the Gilmer County Agriculture Education Center, farm families, local leadership and Chamber board members fellowshipped before being served, by Gilmer High School FFA members, a delicious meal prepared by Main Street Catering. Those in attendance were welcomed by Chamber Chairman Trent Sanford and FFA member Elizabeth Chester. Judge Scott Chastain gave the invocation, followed by Macie Wilkes leading the attendees in the Pledge. Heath Thompson introduced the guest speaker of the evening, Dr. David Bridges, President of Abraham Baldwin Agricultural School. Downtown Roy presented music throughout the evening that was enjoyed by all in attendance.
