Gilmer County Chamber of Commerce

March Network Luncheon

H&R Block sponsored the Gilmer Chamber Network Luncheon on March 10, 2016 and played Tax Trivia to test your tax knowledge in a fun and interactive way. Two table teams tied and were awarded prizes.

H&R block does personal, business, corporate and partnership returns. They also do bookkeeping, payroll and audit services.  H&R Block is open year round to provide excellent service when you need it.

If you did not use H&R Block, you could get them to do a Second Look and see if they can find you more money. Or if you did not use H&R Block last year, they will do this year’s return for half of what you paid last year. Call the offices for details.

They have highly trained and ethical tax professionals who do continuing education every year to stay current on the ever changing tax code.

H&R Block takes the security of their client’s information very seriously and has very strict policy and procedures in place to ensure client’s information stays safe.

So, if you have tax questions or needs please go visit them at one of their three locations in Ellijay:

368 Craig St East Ellijay 706 635-5563

500 Highland Crossing East Ellijay 706 635-5538

71 River St Ellijay 706 636-1099

The guest speaker for the luncheon was East Ellijay Police Chief Larry Callahan. He spoke to the membership about workplace violence and security systems. He discussed causes for work place violence, how to handle an active shooter scenario, and things you need to know about your security system. If you are interested in having him speak to you as a business owner or to your staff, feel free to contact him at East Ellijay City Hall.

The luncheon was catered by Mr. P’s Takeout/Main Street Catering. We enjoyed ham, green beans, macaroni and cheese, potato salad, coleslaw and roles.  The members had their choice of peanut butter cake or coconut cake for dessert.

The next Network Luncheon will be April 14, 2016 located at and sponsored by Gilmer Arts. Click Here to RSVP.
