October 20

Fall Festival at Ellijay Elementary School Sponsored by Gilmer County Foster Parent Association. There will be a trunk or treat, games, face painting, cake walk and more for the community to enjoy for free.

Haunted Georgia at the Gilmer County Library
Join us as the Paranormal Georgia Investigator leads us on a trip down the highways of the deep South and visit Georgia’s most haunted locations.

October 25

Pleasant Grove Baptist Church will be hosting their annual Trunk or Treat. They will have free hot dogs, popcorn, inflatables, face painting, games, crafts and lots of candy!

Harvest Missionary Baptist Church will be hosting their Hallelujah Party beginning at 6:00pm.

October 27

North Georgia Physical Therapy Associates East Ellijay will host a free Halloween Event. They will have rock painting, face painting, goody bags and music. It’s completely free and all kiddos will walk away with a sweet treat! Costumes are welcome, but not required.

October 28

Ellijay Rocks Rocktoberfest at Cartecay River Expericence. Starting at noon, come enjoy an afternoon of rockin’ fun. Bring rocks to trade and/or hide and hunt. Hangout with other rockers, dress up in your favorite costume if want. There will be paint if you want to paint rocks.

Fort Mountain State Park will host Halloween Happenings & Costume Contest. They will have events all day including panning for gold, costume contest, learn about the only flying mammal – BATS! They will pretend to be bats and learn how to “see” like one. They will offer a Halloween craft, a sunset hike, and a bug viewing area. There is a $3 charge for some of the activities.

October 30

Chick Fil A will be hosting a Fall Festival at their location. There will be a bounce house, cow train, rock painting, games, prizes, and costume contest. All activities are free.

Gilmer High School KidFest hosted by the Future Georgia Educators chapter of GHS each year. GHS clubs set up booths where children can participate in Halloween games, where they get sweet candy rewards. There will be face painting and several costume contests.

Teen Fandom Party & Game Night at the Gilmer County Library
They are celebrating Halloween and International Games Week at the same time! Join them for some Fandom fun with trivia, activities, and play some new games. Come dressed as your favorite character and enter the costume contest. Grades 6-12.

October 31 – HALLOWEEN!

Downtown Ellijay Trick Or Treating will be held from 5-8pm. Businesses open their doors and set up around the square to pass out candy for the community. Orchard Church will be set up at the event. Don’t miss the Gilmer County Senior Center in the parking lot next to the Courthouse, they are passing out candy too.

The Merchants of Old Orchard Square and Halpern Enterprises hosts its annual Halloween Trick or Treating and Safety Expo. Old Orchard Square is the shopping center where Ingles is located. This is another great place to safely trick or treat for Halloween.
