Gilmer County Chamber of Commerce

February 2017 Network Luncheon

The February Network Luncheon was held February 9, 2017, and sponsored by H & R Block. H&R Block in Ellijay is locally owned and operated. They provide personal, business, corporate and partnership returns. They also do bookkeeping, payroll and audit services. They are now offering Blue print services. Their offices are open year round for your convenience. Beth Bennett with H&R Block spoke to the membership about the latest tax law changes and getting the best tax return possible.

Beth spoke about the IRS accepting all returns as long as you claimed all of your income. However the IRS does not notify you if you have missed any credits or deductions. At H&R Block they hire and train the most knowledgeable tax professionals to get you the most advantageous tax return legally possible. Beth also spoke about some of the most missed credits to help you get a better refund or lower your taxes due.

Please come by one of their three locations in Ellijay for your tax return needs.

The luncheon was catered by Mr. P’s Takeout/Main Street Catering. We enjoyed a delicious lunch with  pork, mashed potatoes, baked beans, coleslaw and dessert.

During the luncheon the Gilmer Chamber asked its members to tell us why they love the Gilmer Chamber. We want to thank our members for all their kind words.
