The Best Soups and Stews in Ellijay

In these chilly winter days we are always on the lookout for great soups and stews in Ellijay. We want to share with you some of our favorites from our local restaurants.

Creamy Potato and Kale Soup at Back Porch Bistro

Back Porch Bistro in Downtown Ellijay offers a variety of soups daily. They are well known for their soup and sandwich combos. Their Lemon Ginger Chicken soup comes highly recommended. We have also heard that the Cuban Pork Stew, White Chicken Chili and the Creamy Potato and Kale Soup are all delicious choices.

The Trio at Cantaberry Restaurant – Tomato Basil, Chicken & Wild Rice, and Mushroom & Brie.

Cantaberry Restaurant also located in Downtown Ellijay offers soups daily. Most famously known for their Tomato Basil featured in Georgia EATS! and their Chicken and Wild Rice featured in the AJC, we recommend you try their Mushroom & Brie.

Homemade Turkey Broth at Ellijay Coffeehouse.

During the chilly winter months, Ellijay Coffeehouse and Country Corner Kitchen offer delicious homemade soups. Ellijay Coffeehouse has been offering a variety of soups from Appalachian Chili and a unique Turkey Broth. The Chicken and Wild Rice soup at Country Corner Kitchen is must try on a cold day.

Although Papa’s Pizza To Go might be better known for their pizza than their soups, you have to try their Broccoli & Cheese soup.

In Georgia, we sure do love our Brunswick Stew and have plenty of it! We can’t pick just one, so here is a list of all local eateries offering delicious Brunswick Stew:
