On Tuesday, November 14, over 250 guests gathered for the 2nd annual Agstravaganza – a celebration of our farming community. An initiative of the Gilmer Chamber, Agstravaganza honors our county’s agricultural heritage while thanking those that continue to make it a critical economic driver.

Held at the Gilmer County Agriculture Education Center, farm families, local leadership, and Chamber board members fellowshipped before being served, by Gilmer High School FFA members, a delicious meal prepared by Main Street Catering. Those in attendance were welcomed by Chamber Chairman Lex Rainey and FFA member Matt Long before John Reece gave an invocation. Everyone enjoyed music by Brett Cantrell and the North Georgia All Stars before hearing from Commissioner of Agriculture Gary Black.

Hosted by the Gilmer Chamber, Agstravaganza was made possible through sponsorship by the following: Presenting Sponsor Gilmer County Farm Bureau; Supporting Sponsors ACE Hardware of Ellijay, Gilmer FFA, Mason Tractor, Pilgrim’s, Ronnie Thompson Ford, United Community Bank, and Contributing Sponsor Atlanta Gas Light.
