“This is a great event for patrons and restaurants, it allows people who may not have ever tasted your food to see what you have to offer”, exclaimed Brad Simmons with River Street Tavern as he passed out delicious fried mushrooms and wings.

The Gilmer Chamber hosted it’s annual Taste of Ellijay on May 21, 2015 on North Main Street in Downtown Ellijay. Over twenty participating vendors served an array of food and beverage items for patrons to taste.

Ronnie Thompson Ford provided a special tailgating area for attendees to sit and eat, play corn hole, and check out two new Ford vehicles.

Leading up to the Taste of Ellijay, the Gilmer Chamber posted a Best Biscuit for Breakfast survey allowing people to cast their votes. With 2,987 votes posted, Mr. P’s Take Out won with 34% of the votes. Congratulations to Mr. P’s and enjoy your biscuit trophy!

The Chamber would like to thank its’ Board of Directors, Ambassadors, and other volunteers for making this event possible.
